Editorial Process

JEES champions editorial independence and diversity, welcoming submissions from researchers worldwide across different backgrounds. Each submission undergoes an initial editorial review to ascertain its suitability for JEES. Suitable manuscripts are then peer-reviewed by at least two independent experts. The review process is designed to enhance the manuscript's quality, contributing to the final publication decision made by the Editor-in-Chief.

Peer Review Process

The peer review process is central to JEES’s commitment to quality and integrity in academic publishing. This process involves scrutinizing an author's work by experts in the same field to ensure the research meets the discipline's accepted standards. Our review process is designed to identify and address any weaknesses, thereby improving the manuscript's quality before publication.

Criteria for Acceptance and Rejection

Manuscripts are considered for publication if they:

  • Receive endorsement from at least two referees.
  • Adhere to the reviewers' recommendations and ethical standards.
  • Pass plagiarism checks with a Similarity Index of no more than 10% and achieve a Grammarly score of 95% or higher.

Comments

JEES encourages the submission of comments on previously published articles, fostering a constructive dialogue within the academic community. Comments undergo a review process similar to research articles, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Transparency

Adhering to COPE's Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, JEES is committed to transparency in its publishing process, ensuring the integrity of the work published.

Publication Frequency and Fee

JEES publishes bi-annually (every June and December of each year), welcoming submissions without any fees for article submission, processing, or publishing.
