Open Access and Copyright Policy
JEES embraces an open-access model, grounded in the belief that free access to research supports a wider exchange of knowledge worldwide. Consequently, readers are not required to pay a subscription fee to access the full texts of articles. There is no need for permission from the publisher or author to read, download, or print these texts. Additionally, the journal publishes articles without imposing any fees on the authors, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder the dissemination of knowledge.

Authors confer to the publisher the exclusive right to publish, while maintaining copyright over their work. Accordingly, authors are entitled to (a) distribute their article as third parties are allowed under the applicable user license, provided it includes the publisher's logo and a link to the JEES published version; (b) keep patent, trademark, and additional intellectual property rights, including research data; and (c) receive appropriate recognition and credit for their published contribution.
