South Korean Tourists’ Satisfaction in Davao City
Keywords:

This study aimed to evaluate the satisfaction of South Korean tourists with the transportation, accommodation, and safety standards in Davao City, utilizing a quantitative descriptive method to assess tourists’ perceptions. The findings revealed moderate satisfaction with transportation, highlighted by the tourists' approval of fare prices but concerns regarding vehicle cleanliness, space, and seat availability. Accommodation received higher ratings, particularly in staff responsiveness and operational hours, yet inconsistencies in service and communication were noted. Safety measures were seen as adequate, though improvements in public facility maintenance and visibility of safety information were deemed necessary. To enhance the tourist experience in Davao City, it is recommended that the Davao City Tourism Council implement real-time tracking for public transportation and enforce rigorous maintenance schedules for cleanliness. Establishments should standardize service training to ensure consistent and high-quality guest experiences. For future research, scholars should explore longitudinal studies to assess the impact of these improvements on tourist satisfaction, thereby aiding the city's efforts to refine its offerings and better cater to international visitors, particularly from South Korea.
